Mind, Body and Spirit

I am very grateful for the response to my last post. It means a lot to have the support of my family and blog friends, who are as we all know, gems. It was something I just had to get out of my system. Feeling well now, thank you.

One thing towards self-care that I have not been doing for some time now is a daily Yoga practice. If you read my blog, you know I love my yoga. Last week I began again and it feels so good to have the peace that it brings and the strength of mind and body returning. I am sleeping deeply at night and waking up refreshed and have promised myself that I will not stop again, no matter what. Cuz if I don't care for myself, who else will?

Not much art happening lately, with the exception of doodling on my shopping list and feel as though it might be time for some journalling. I am missing all the colours :)

  1. Hurrah for yoga. I practice just about every day, and really notice the difference if I wait until the END of the day. IE if I do it earlier my self in my day is so much more focused and relaxed. On the other hand I often do twice a day, as I have trouble sleeping and sometimes practicing before bed helps with that. Do you have a class you can go to? There is not one up here and I do miss the companionship of other yoginis. Be well, Namaste, Suki

  2. Hi, Patti,

Hurrah for yoga and for you! I hope to someday develop the grounding and stability of a regular yoga practice; so far, though I haven't. Wishing you a wonderful week and more...Love, O xxoo

  3. Hi Patti ~ its been a while since I visited blogland.

I sat back in awe when I learned of what you were dealing with, and just want to tell you I think you're incredible.

Actually I've always thought that of you, but now even more so.

Self-awareness is probably one of the most powerful tools that we can posess, it helps us to heal, and to heal and to deal with what comes our way.

Hold your light high Patti - you're amazing!

  4. Oh Patti - you are going to be my inspiration! I have chronic pain and yoga (along with a healthy diet, meditation, reduce stress levels, etc) help me a lot. I also love yoga. I have been remiss in my practice and I find myself putting off returning to it. I have a ton of excuses (it's too hot, it's too humid, there isn't enoug room, I need to paint first, I'll do this....). But after reading this post, I know it is time for me to stop procrastinating and just do it! Thank you!!!!
