Family

messy studio in motion
Easter was a wonderful break and I was able to catch up with family - daughter, sisters, brother, nieces & nephews, inlaws and friends.  Family always recalibrates me like nothing else does!  My sister Cate invited me for an impromptu visit of the Museum of Contemporary Art in Sydney and lunch at The Rocks and it was a wonderful afternoon!  I ended the day by catching a ferry across Sydney Harbour and past the Opera House to see my daughter on the other side and it was a sparkling clear day!

Since then I have been able to spend some time in the studio - an acrylic painting this time - unfinished, though I am happy with its progress so far.  I hope your Easter was everything you wanted it to be also!

  3. How beautiful, Patti; I'm glad you found some time for your art. It's funny about family--what a blessing that your family recalibrates you and reminds you of who your are at your core. I come from a shaming family (most of whom I'm estranged from) so it is challenging now that I don't believe those messages for me to be around them. Mark and I spent a quiet Easter (which was very nice) but I always feel a bit wistful when I hear about people with loving families. Makes me wonder what it would be like :) xoO
