Abundant Garden

This painting was an awful hotch potch for me, or let's just call it an experiment! Somehow, I managed to finish it, despite all the ideas for my NExt painting coming in thick and fast while in the middle of this one. I chose not to use the familiar black outline this time. Despite two incomplete 'Lucy' paintings in my cupboard, I'm thinking I want to depart from the fantasy style for a while and maybe do something a little more......?? .... a little more what? It's like an itch that I'm trying to scratch and we'll just have to wait and see!

Check out the website of artist Lynne Feldman I fell in love with her amazing Collage Tapestries, coming away with loads of inspiration.

  2. Yes I love those fishies and such wonderful colours. Just keep playing, making art is like meditating. I loved Lynne F's site too. Just my kind of thing, I just love collage, don't know why but it really appeals to me.

  4. Pat - I want to buy this one to go with Lucy- it looks like the continuation of a dream. Hold it for me - I'll be back in July to mind Cate's house while she's travelling.

  5. Too beautiful. I love the way the objects in your paintings flow and weave. I love the stream filled with fish that does remind me of the previous stream, must be the Lucy Annie mentions. Again it looks like a tapestry. Amazing and heartening too.

  7. Hi Patti - started here and went backwards....love the poem that goes with your post on The Red book. I think I may have to steal it for my next post...=]. I'm going to repeat myself but I'm jealous of your lovely journal pages and love the clean primaries of all that you do. The colors are at once invigorating and meditative which makes them walk that line of ambiguity that always says Truth to me. And oh do I know about the unscratchable itch! Maybe it's something in the air..... xo
