Unfolding

I bought these liliums on New Year's Eve when they were all in bud.  Overnight they burst open just like fireworks on the Sydney Harbour Bridge!

I woke to a beautiful blue sky day, so Jess the Border Collie and I took off for an early morning walk with the bellbirds tinkling all around us.  A great way to start the year!

I haven't chosen a word for 2012.  I'm thinking I will just let things unfold.  Though this will be the year of increased fitness and well being, taking care of myself with a little yoga, continuing to enjoy the work that I do and to try and squeeze a little more art back into my life, I miss it!  And a holiday............... exciting!

  1. So much beauty, Patti, always here. You are well into the New Year and we are anticipating our here in the US. Wishing you a wonderful New Year of unfolding and positive intentions...your word will arise...or not. But I know it will be a good year.

I have noticed many people not being as rigorous towards goals and striving for the New Year, and that seems wonderful, doesn't it?

Much love to you, Patti, xoO

Life is unfolding just as the lilies did and a "bridge" to new things! Happy NEW year!

  6. Happy New Year Pat!
I think that the word 'unfold' is a very good one- unfolding one's wings like a butterfly emerging from a chrysalis, unfolding a letter not knowing what is inside, flowers like your beautiful lilies unfolding in the warmth of the sunshine...
