tropical theatre

This is a section of a painting I have named "tropical theatre" using water-colour/acrylic & ink. I am considering making this one into a print, once I find out how and where to do this. It took a while to finish as I am still plugging away at home maintenance - it never seems to end!

I have been arranging for old holland blinds to be replaced with new timberlook venetians, new shower screens in all the bathrooms (needed thanks to a horrible 'glass cancer' that leaves an ugly stain between the fused glass screens), cleaning windows in readiness for said new blinds and rooms reminding me that they need painting. I'm not complaining really, I do love having everything bursting with good clean energy.

I've also been moving the furniture around, have added a new rug to the lounge area and changed the paintings hanging on the wall for a fresh new look. It's all nice and cosy in the evenings now that we need the heating on. Maybe I'll curl up and do some journaling tonight...

    Wonderful painting! It will make great prints. And home fixing-up (maintenance) can be very relaxing in the end. A change of season, a change in your indoor environment. Perfect!

    Patti, I really love this piece. At first I thought you used some type of exotic paper and cut-out collage instead of ink. It is so gorgeous and detailed. I think you absolutely should make this into a print. I know I keep saying this, but now I think that THIS is my favorite of your art that I have seen so far. It appears almost to be moving as I stare at it---gorgeous! Peace and love, O

    This is stunning Patti, I love it and yes it would make a beautiful print. Your updated interior looks good too. I went out on Tuesday and bought a mirror with a white distressed frame. It has leadlighted dolphins on the top corners. I love it; seems like we are channelling fish this week :)

    Thanks Martie. The thing is, once you start, everything else begins to look drab and you have to keep going... it never ends really!

    Thank you Olivia, I appreciate your comments, it is a new technique I'm working with and I seem to be more articulate this way. If I can get prints made there will be a giveaway of some sort on my blog - so stay tuned!

    Thanks Suki. I did want the painting to reflect the chaotic flurry of fins that you see in tropical waters. So it seems I have achieved this.

    Are we selling or staying put? We really don't know (!), but in the meantime we are enjoying being here with all the nice energy around.
