Moving Forward

I'm all excited about conducting a series of three art journaling sessions, starting at the end of the month.  If any of my local readers are interested, please let me know and I'll forward the details.  Lots of fun to be had!

I have felt lately as though I'm floating in liminal space, waiting for things to happen, so it's been great to get these classes up and running at last.

Also, we have settled in downstairs, making the area into a relaxing room to watch tv, read or listen to music - a parent's retreat, as my sister suggested.  It is a lovely light-filled room, with a sunny patio outside, so bring on Summer!

I hope things are 'moving forward' (quoting our Prime Minister!) for you too.  Happy Thursday!

  1. Slowly but surely moving forward...but also just trying to BE where I stand a little more. That seems to be helping the waiting feeling to ease. Subtle lesson, that. But one I am really trying to put into practice...
Congrats on the art journaling group ! How awesome ! Your participants are lucky to have you. How did it come about ? Did you just reach out a courageous arm and grab and opportunity ? Always looking for inspiration to do that myself !
Love the summery flowers, by the way ! ;)
Enjoy the day, Wonderful Artist Lady !

  2. love your cheerful drawing and wish I could take the workshop with you. I know it will be fun for all involved. your new room sounds delightful!!!

Perhaps I am moving forward in tiny steps although in all areas EXCEPT the one I need to move forward in.

  3. I see a link to Myla's blog on there. I used to read her blog and remember when she said she was coming to Australia. Did you ever meet her???

  4. All sounds wonderful Patti :)

  5. Dear Sukipoet

I AM in Australia but I havenot the chance to meet this wonderful friend of ours yet. I wish I could attend the workshop with Patti too. I love her paintings.

Have a great time Patti. Let me know if you happen to pass through! Newcastle sometime. look forward to meeting u. :D

  6. Hi Patti, can you do the art journaling class virtually? You do such a great job of this, I'd love to learn from you.

  7. Oooooooo! A parents retreat. Sounds delicious

  8. Way to go! That idea of running it on-line is a good one, too.

  9. Wow! Your life sounds so full and blessed. Wish I were closer so I could attend your classes. Enjoy!

  10. I too would love to take the class online if you should ever choose to offer it!
