Today is ANZAC Day in Australia, a day when we remember those who died fighting for our country. As usual I bawled my eyes out! It's a subdued day, until after the dawn ceremonies, when beer flows and Two-up is played, mates on the battlefield remembered!

I shed a tear too looking at tonites news with all the anzac ceremonies. All those old guys and the marches... wonderful!
ReplyDeleteI love that countries remember our fallen heroes - it is way to easy to take the freedom we enjoy for granted, without really thinking about how we got here, and how hard it is to stay where we are.
