This citrus fruit platter is painted using acrylics on canvas paper. I am fairly new to painting with acrylics and have begun experimenting with different styles of painting, learning how best to apply the paint, what works, what doesn't. So far it's a lot of fun! I am enjoying the freedom of application, the palette, the quick drying and best of all, the absence of smell. More painting with acrylics to come ..........
Wow Patti! I love this - great use of colour and perspective ... it looks so fresh, juicy and vibrant!
ReplyDeleteI love the outlines and the perspective. Acrylics are great, you will love them
ReplyDeleteThe only still-life fruit I've ever seen that is actually COOL!!!
ReplyDeleteI'd hang this in my kitchen for sure!!!
Gorgeous & Colourful!
LOVE this!!! I really like tyour use of strong outlining. BoHoMom is right ... this IS the cool! Acrylics are the best - especially since I like to work quickly and don't want to deal with massive drying time. No smell ... varied textures ... a winner!
ReplyDeletePat you should sell your designs somewhere, you have a talent for design!
ReplyDeleteOMG! Donovan! YES!!!!
ReplyDeleteI don't think there's a better album than his Greatest Hits. He was such a cutie, back in the day, eh?
