Learning All The Time

This citrus fruit platter is painted using acrylics on canvas paper. I am fairly new to painting with acrylics and have begun experimenting with different styles of painting, learning how best to apply the paint, what works, what doesn't. So far it's a lot of fun! I am enjoying the freedom of application, the palette, the quick drying and best of all, the absence of smell. More painting with acrylics to come ..........

  1. Wow Patti! I love this - great use of colour and perspective ... it looks so fresh, juicy and vibrant!

  2. I love the outlines and the perspective. Acrylics are great, you will love them

  3. The only still-life fruit I've ever seen that is actually COOL!!!
I'd hang this in my kitchen for sure!!!
    Gorgeous & Colourful!

  4. LOVE this!!! I really like tyour use of strong outlining. BoHoMom is right ... this IS the cool! Acrylics are the best - especially since I like to work quickly and don't want to deal with massive drying time. No smell ... varied textures ... a winner!

  5. Pat you should sell your designs somewhere, you have a talent for design!

  6. OMG! Donovan! YES!!!!
I don't think there's a better album than his Greatest Hits. He was such a cutie, back in the day, eh?
