with the style of art that i like to make, the challenge is to try not to be too 'colouring-in book'. so i attempt to marry the simplicity and detail that i love together, to make what i hope is an artwork. sometimes it works and sometimes not. i was happy with this one though.
'keep on swimming' water-colour & ink.
Patti, I guess I should have made reference in my blog post to the longest day as well as the longest night... Nothing like leaving out half the planet! Thank you for coming to visit and commenting in spite of my omission. And here it is, "drala day" again, and if I were in the neighborhood I'd drop by for tea and to look at your gorgeous art in person.
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful, Patti. What you HOPE is artwork? Are you kidding? Your art is incredible! Great job, Love, O
ReplyDeleteLovely. Very much what I need to see right now--keep on swiming. Your work is never simplistic and all the ones I've see are elegant, colorful and evocative.
ReplyDeleteI really love the direction your work is taking!
ReplyDeleteI love this fish, a great piece of Art. I especially like the colour scheme.
ReplyDeleteOh BEAUTIFUL! To me the colorful swirls on the fish are like life-blood, flowing gently. Gorgeous!!
