I love creating these bowls of fruit, they represent abundance to me. I'm fortunate to have plenty of it and my actual fruit bowl looks a lot like this one and at the moment it is overflowing with bananas, apples, strawberries and vine ripened tomatoes!
I've entered my first art competition/exhibit and I'm looking forward to an opening cocktail party and a weekend of rubbing shoulders with art lovers. All in support of a good cause. More on this later!
wow, have fun at the art comp /exhibit! I like your fruit bowl, simple and lets that healthy fruit do all the talking! YUM!
ReplyDeleteYes, I too hope you have a wonderful weekend. Will look forward to hearing more, xoO
ReplyDeleteLove this fruit bowl piece I may have to order one :)
ReplyDeleteGood luck for the cocktail party I will be there in spirit!
Have a great time at the party! (Will you be wearing red shoes?) I agree that your painting does depict abundance. And lush-ish-ness too.
ReplyDeleteHow exciting for you. And it's wonderful when we are aware of the abundance in life.

ReplyDeleteHi Patti, My name is Janet Thompson, managing editor of Storytelling Magazine. I wonder if we could publish your "Bowl of Plenty" with a version of the traditional story in an upcoming issue. It's a small publication for members of the National Storytelling Network, but would certainly be enhanced by your art. I can offer you credit with a link to your website and a couple copies of the magazine. Let me know if this is possible. My email is jsthompson@storynet.org.
