two more sleeps

'earth energy' - water-colour & ink.

the lead-up to christmas has been nice and steady for us. we have had end of year school activities, watching phil perform (electric guitar) for the first time on stage; a family christmas get-together, where we all stayed overnight in apartments at a golf resort (max & phil loved it!) and a neighbourhood christmas bbq, meeting lots of new, lovely people.

gifts have been bought and wrapped. we will give them out in the evening on christmas day, since max will be working & we don't want him to miss out on the fun. can we hold out till christmas evening? it's going to be tough! :)

  1. It is good for the spirit to wait for pressies- I remember working on Xmas morning, then whizzing home to find all my pressies under the tree- the last ones! You feel all virtuous, and everyone spoils you. Have a wonderful- if delayed- Xmas.

  3. These look like snowflakes. Hold out? Guess you have to when you live with others. But for years I lived alone and when friends mailed me presents early I would often open them whenever I wanted to and then have nothing left on Christmas day. :)

  4. I love the colours in this one, and the interesting shapes, plus the wonderful balance of large, medium and small shapes. Your artwork always lifts me up. Always.

  6. I enjoy the joy in this and today's painting as well, Patti. They are non-traditional Christmas paintings with more summery, warmer colors than the usual bright red and kelly green, reflecting your lovely climate now. Peace be with you and your family. Love, O
